2016-2017 Regina Call For Proposals
Designated Communities & Aboriginal Homelessness Funding Streams
With direction from Regina’s Community Advisory Board (CAB), the YMCA of Regina is issuing the following Call For Proposal (CFP) for the Designated Communities and Designated Communities – Aboriginal Homelessness Funding streams of the Homelessness Partnering Strategy.
The deadline for application submissions for this HPS funding is Tuesday, Fenruary 16th, 2016 no later than 5pm.
- If you are applying for funds for more than one project, please fill out separate applications.
Please note: Only electronic submissions will be accepted. Once an application has been received an email will be sent to notify you that it has been received.
There are two Application packages, a General Call Application (Support Services, Coordination of Resources and Leveraging Project Applications, Capital Investments, and Data Collection) and Housing First Application
In the 2016-2017 funding cycle, HPS will shift funds towards a Housing First approach. Housing First involves moving individuals who are chronically or episodically homeless from the streets or homeless shelters directly into permanent housing. After an individual is housed they would be provided with the supports and services they need to remain housed and stable.
The YMCA in partnership with the community advisory board is seeking an organization to lead the implementation and delivery of Regina’s Housing First program over the short and long term. A minimum of 40% of available HPS funds or $400,000 will be allocated to the Housing First project.
McNair Business Development Inc. was contracted in 2015 to develop a Housing First Model for Regina based on leading practices, community consultations and the Regina context. Their report, Regina Housing First Model should guide your Housing First project and application. A copy of the report is available online on our website.
All approved projects must take place in Regina and must have HPS dollars/funding spent by March 31st, 2017.
