HIFIS Staff Update
To All Organizations Using HIFIS (CEO’s and Executive Directors) and Stakeholders in Saskatchewan,
Since the United Way Regina was awarded the contract to provide the HIFIS Community Coordinator Program for Saskatchewan by the Government of Canada, we have been working hard to hire and train the right person to provide the training and support for the HIFIS users.
We have a team supporting this program:
Barb Laing – Program Manager – 211 Saskatchewan and HIFIS Community Coordinator - will be managing the program and communicating with the stakeholders including the Community Advisory Boards (CABS) and Community Entities (CE’s) for the province. (Part Time)
Amy Dixon – HIFIS Community Coordinator – will be providing training and support for HIFIS Users. (Full Time)
Radhey Shah – Technical Resource Specialist – will support technical issues (Part Time)
Over the next 4 weeks Amy will be visiting each organization that has HIFIS to discuss with you your needs for support and/or training.
She also will be noting which version of HIFIS you are using and if there is any way we can help migrate you to HIFIS 3.8. We are asking for your help in providing someone for Amy to speak with.
Also I have attached a form for you to fill out if you need equipment from Computers for Schools. This is a very inexpensive way to get computers but please ask for Windows 7 compatible machines with 2 GB RAM and 40 GB hard drive.
This program is a United Way Regina initiative and resides under the 211 Saskatchewan program.
Please forward this to anyone else who would be interested in this information.
